The primary purpose of the Amendment is to transpose Directive (EU) 2024/927 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 March 2024, which amends the AIFMD and UCITS Directives in the areas of delegation arrangements, liquidity risk management, supervision, depositary services and loan origination by alternative investment funds, as well as to transpose Directive (EU) 2024/2994 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2024, which regulates the treatment of concentration risk arising from exposures to central counterparties and counterparty risk in centrally cleared derivative transactions. According to the explanatory memorandum, the Amendment also revises several provisions of the Collective Investment Act based on practical experience from its application.
