Urgent measures in matters concerning minors – When proceedings to regulate the rights and obligations of minor children commence with urgent measures
According to Section 2(1) of the CMP in conjunction with Section 325(1) of the CSP, the court may order an urgent measure if it is necessary to immediately adjust the circumstances between the parties to the proceedings (we will not deal with the fear of jeopardizing enforcement as a second reason for ordering an urgent measure at this time).

As stated by the Regional Court in Žilina in its resolution ref. no. 13CoP/221/2025 of 19 November 2025, it is not sufficient for the imposition of an urgent measure that it is in the interest of the child; the need for urgent adjustment of circumstances must be unavoidable and the threat to the child immediate.
